Privacy notice
SarafaGold has no accounts, no sign-up and no user profiles. You can read every page without giving us anything, and we do not sell data to anyone.
What is stored in your browser
Three things, all in your own browser's local storage and none of them sent to us: your light or dark theme choice, whether you dismissed the region banner, and your cookie choice so we stop asking.
Clearing your browser storage removes all three. Nothing in them identifies you.
What we do not do
We do not redirect you based on your IP address or location. The region banner is a suggestion drawn from your browser's own timezone setting and is read locally — it is never sent to a server, and you always stay on the page you asked for.
We do not run cross-site advertising trackers, we do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data.
Cookie choice
On your first visit you are asked to accept or limit storage to essentials. Choosing essentials only keeps the theme, banner and consent preferences described above and nothing more.
If measurement or advertising is introduced in future, it will only load after acceptance, and this notice will be updated with what it collects before it goes live.
Server logs and hosting
Our hosting provider keeps standard technical request logs, including IP address, user agent and requested URL, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
Rate data is served from our own database. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request for the font file.
Your rights
Because we hold no account data, there is normally nothing personal to access, correct or erase. If you have written to us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
UK and EU visitors have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR respectively, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to hello@sarafagold.com to exercise them.
